Just because the weather outside is frigid does not mean you can?t inspire warmth inside the home this winter with a few fun family crafts with fabric! When television, scrabble and the Internet have all become unbearable and you see your family members eyes glazing over with boredom, turn to these crafty ideas for a change of pace and sneak in some together-time!
The following list can be used as a starter-list to generate a winter full of creative ideas. Once you decide on a craft, simply browse our online fabric store for supplies and begin planning out your list.

9. Children?s animal pillows (or decorative pillows to brighten the house during the dull gray winter!)
8. Start sewing some spring clothing for the kiddos

5. Winter scarves. Let each family member choose their own fabrics, they will love it.

3. Anything with fabric and Mod Podge is a hit. Ask your family to scour the house for things that would look better covered with a new fabric! This will get everyone involved and spark creativity. Example: Fabric covered wall outlets!

2. Make fabric covered plant boxes. Once finished, let each child plant a seed inside and tend to it over the winter.
1. Start a family quilt. Each night, sew on an additional square or three. By the time winter is over, you will have a new quilt filled with fond memories.
